Dannemora

Dannemora is a new residential suburb east of the City with easy access to the eastern beaches. The area, previously farmland, has been sympathetically developed over recent years and most of the housing is less than fi ve years old. The homes tend to be large with four or more bedrooms making them popular with families.

The Barfoot & Thompson office is prominently situated on the Dannemora shopping parade, at Chapel Road Village, near the large palm trees! Locals can pick up the essentials at Chapel Road Village but on the doorstep is Botany Town Centre, a retail heaven with a multitude of outlets covering lifestyle, homeware, clothing, footwear and sport and groceries. There is also a variety of food outlets and cafes to suit every taste.

Dannemora is popular with families. There are some excellent local schools including the brand new, state of the art Botany Downs Secondary College and the Ministry of education has just announced eight new schools for the area. Access to some of Auckland’s top private schools is also made easy by good public transport links.

Dannemora offers plenty of recreational opportunities of the indoor variety, shopping aside. There is an ice rink and 10-pin bowling alley which are popular and the new Berkeley cinema complex with eight screens and the deluxe seating 'circle lounge' option.

For those who like the outdoors there are beaches within a 20 minute drive for swimming and watersports and further east are some lovely regional parks for getting back to nature. The new Sir Barry Curtis Park, just down the road, will provide an outstanding recreational facility for the whole community upon its completion.
