In 2011 Barfoot & Thompson was the presenting sponsor of the extremely successful ITU Triathlon World Cup event. In 2012 this event is even bigger and will bring even more athletes and supporters to Auckland as the ITU World Championship Grand Finale and once again Barfoot & Thompson will be the presenting sponsor.

The 2012 ITU World Championship Grand Finale will be held on the Auckland waterfront in October 2012 and will be a week-long festival of 7 events 7,000 participants, 100,000+ spectators and an international TV Audience of 25 million.

Hosting major international sporting events are important for Auckland and Aucklanders. They showcase our great city to a worldwide television audience, and allow us the opportunity to share first hand an ‘Auckland experience’ with the many competitors and visitors they will attract
