Mission Bay is a busy seaside suburb on the edge of Auckland City. The area has a mixture of traditional character properties and contemporary town houses, high quality homes and apartments.

The Barfoot & Thompson office is prominently located on the Eastern end of the main waterfront parade amongst Mission Bay’s many fine cafés and restaurants. If food is your passion then Mission Bay has something to suit every palate from take-away fish & chips to Thai, seafood and tapas and not forgetting the very popular Mövenpick Ice Cream parlour.

For those that choose to eat at home nearby Eastridge Shopping Centre has a New World supermarket for all your grocery needs and a Pandoro Bakery plus a pharmacy, PaperPlus and several speciality shops.

The Mission Bay area offers a good selection of primary and secondary schools. Selwyn College is known for having a strong performing arts programme. There are also convenient transport links to many of Auckland’s private schools.

The extensive beaches in the area provide many recreational opportunities particularly including sailing, swimming and wind-surfing. On blustery days there are some amazing acrobatics to be seen from kite surfers.

Mission Bay’s waterfront reserve with it’s fountain is popular for picnics and relaxing under the shade of the many pohutukawas. During the summer months Mission Bay buzzes with activity and hosts several special events including the Jazz Festival during February.
