Three month advance in house prices eases in April
The three-month uninterrupted increase in Auckland house prices ended in April, with the average sales price dipping to $643,089, down a little under half of a percent on March’s all time high of $645,928.

Once upon a time, some clever kids wrote a really great short story. They got published in a special storybook which raised money to help the kids at Starship Hospital. Rugby star Keven Mealamu illustrated their story. He came to their school, and everyone got to meet him.
The annual Barfoot & Thompson Young Authors Challenge is back for its sixth year, and each year is bigger than the last.

On the 14th November 2012 the new Barfoot & Thompson Auction rooms at 34 Shortland Street were opened to the public. This followed the move of the company’s head office from the Chancery to Shortland St 2 weeks earlier. Tim Carter, Barfoot & Thompson Auction Manager says, “The new facilities are state of the art and offer the latest in audio visual equipment. Over 50 % of Barfoot & Thompson’s sales are now through the auction process so the new rooms will be well utilised.”
