From arranging stagers, preparing documentation and arranging all of the small but important things when you are selling, Andrew did a great job. Nothing was too much trouble for Andrew - he even swept up leaves and watered plants prior to open homes when we were not there. Andrew always found time to help with any matter, and this was particularly helpful with use of office space and his computer skills to resolve a complication with issuing an insurance certificate for the buyer’s lawyer very close to the settlement date.

We recently entrusted Andrew Pender of Barfoot & Thompson, to sell our mother’s home in what is an increasingly challenging market. The recommendation to auction was not necessarily the same advice as other agencies gave, but Andrew was convinced this was the right strategy for this particular property. Accurate pricing is challenging in this market, so the auction process still allowed this to be fully tested, noting a sale post auction was always an option once the pricing had been fully tested in the marketplace. Andrew’s strict attention to detail and tireless work ethic throughout the campaign saw 65 inspections culminating in a number of genuine buyers emerging prior to auction. Barfoot & Thompson’s large agency base across Auckland, also allowed for numerous inspections across a wide range of personnel, culminating in a much wider range of buyers; one in fact being the underbidder at the auction.
