Introducing Helen Dodd
Recognised as an Outstanding Property Manager, 2009 and 2010.

Originally from the UK where she held a successful sales and marketing career in the printing, paper and advertising industry, Helen moved to New Zealand in 1984. She continued along the same career path until 1999 when she decided to take a completely different direction.

Helen’s initial taste for the real estate industry was at a design and build company in South Auckland where she sold from concept plans through to completed homes. She joined Barfoot & Thompson in 2002 as a sales consultant, where she remained for the next 5 years.

Recognised as a strong performer and someone with excellent people skills, Helen was asked to join the property management team. Her strengths as a Property Manager lie in her ability to build strong relationships with her clients. She believes in treating everyone with empathy and respect and shares the same family values as Barfoot & Thompson.

Helen has introduced a ‘zero tolerance’ policy to the Greenlane office in respect to rent arrears. She has also employed an ex-carpenter to do all her property inspections. This gives our landlords peace of mind when all maintenance issues are reported. Each landlord receives an in-depth, thorough inspection report at least three times a year.

Helen is honest, fair and meticulous in her dealings. In her time at the Greenlane branch she has successfully grown the portfolio by 37% and increased income by 27% for the year ending March 2009. This is mainly referral business from their existing satisfied clients. Helen was also awarded as one of Barfoot & Thompson’s Outstanding Rental Managers in 2009 and 2010.
