Jim Liu was awarded Barfoot & Thompson Rookie of the year, and Ranked No.2 in Northcote office for 2009-2010

Since joining the Northcote office , Jim has established himself as a successful and consistent performer. Married to Cathryn, Jim has a healthy outlook to his real estate career by giving total commitment to his work, but taking regular breaks. He especially enjoys tramping and has recently completed the Tongariro Crossing Track.

Always a cheerful presence in the office, Jim has thrived on the challenge of succeeding in real estate despite the economic environment. He enjoys the competition within the office, as well as that from his colleagues from other branches. A great deal of his success can be attributed to the healthy and supportive working relationship he has fostered with the admin staff. He always gets a "good luck" high-5 from either Pam or Ros at the front desk before leaving the office to close a deal.

Jim is very business minded in his approach to real estate, mixing equally well with both Chinese and European clients, as well as other nationalities. His background in management and building have provided him with a sound platform to develop his real estate skills. A tactful negotiator, he avoids taking shortcuts to secure a deal. His preference is to take longer to conclude negotiations because there is more likelihood of the agreement becoming unconditional.

Jim's positive demeanour allows him to take the knocks in his stride that real estate has to offer, while making the most of the many highs that can be achieved through hardwork and consistent efforts.
