Karyn’s introduction to the Waiuku area was as a child when her parents bought a section at Hudson’s Beach. She remembers the long trek winding through hills covered with pohutukawa for camping holidays at the beach. Later she completed her first year as a teacher at Awhitu Primary School. She loves the Waiuku area because of the natural beauty of the bush, beaches, and the country lifestyle while still being within easy reach of Auckland city.

An ongoing love affair with houses and matching people and property attracted Karyn to real estate. For her own interest she has researched and recorded the history of the New Zealand house. She has spent two years as a builder’s mate, gibstopper, painter, decorator, landscape designer and gardener, successfully renovating and landscaping her relocated villa, which means she can also work with you to maximise the appeal and presentation of your home. She even owns her own tool belt!

Prior to real estate Karyn completed a Diploma in teaching and enjoyed thirty years as a teacher. Her background has enabled her to communicate and empathise with a wide range of people.

Karyn and her dog Wesley, a golden retriever, can often be seen around the streets of Waiuku delivering flyers to letterboxes and meeting many other dog lovers.
