Barfoot & Thompson has a long-standing history with Auckland Marathon, previously holding the principal sponsorship of the Half Marathon and Kids Marathon. To further cement our support for one of Auckland's biggest days out, we stepped up to Title Partner for the main event in 2022. We maintain our Title Partner status and continue our principal sponsorship with the Wheelchair Division and Kids Marathon in 2025.

This is a natural fit for our company as our love of Auckland is well known. We have been supported by Auckland communities for over 100 years and likewise, we have been supporting community groups and events for almost as long.

In 2025, we had over 300 Barfoot & Thompson staff take part - as a participant or volunteer.

As the day went on, the lines at the food trucks certainly got longer, and the massage tent was well utilised!
