With strong marketing skills, good communication and a value-driven, integrity-based approach, the team at Barfoot & Thompson Kerikeri is the first port of call, for anyone wishing to buy, sell or rent in this highly sought-after and picturesque region. We pride ourselves on our team work and team culture. The camaraderie within the branch means we can all work hard and play hard, while having a laugh and enjoying a bit of banter!
We are passionate about the area in which we live and work. Many of us even grew up here! Kerikeri is a beautiful and diverse place, offering everything from lifestyle, rural and horticultural blocks to a variety of lovely residential areas and breath-taking coastal beauties. Regardless of whether you are seeking peace and quiet somewhere remote or a spot that’s closer to the action in town, we can find just the right place for you.
Kerikeri has a diverse sales team with more than 20 salespeople, including specialised rural and commercial salespeople. Matching people to property and being in a home that is right for you is important to us, and our knowledgeable staff are able to offer expert advice and guidance.
Our rural specialist Claude Shepherd, is a multi-award winning salesperson, with a proven background and sales record in the rural sector. His high profile in the North gives him a great advantage and over many years of dairy farming and real estate, he has built a huge client base. He handles all things rural and farming, plus dabbles in a bit of horticulture too. He is assisted by our very knowledgeable rural administrator Kerry and salesperson David Maxwell, who comes with his own substantial rural background and will be handling some of the smaller blocks as well as high-end coastal properties.
Our commercial department handles all aspects of buying, selling or leasing. Covering from Kerikeri to Kaitaia, our team consists of Regan Polglaze (supported by Bonita), Anthony Van Gessel and Hayden Rasmusen. They have extensive local knowledge as well as a large networking group and the three of them have an ever-growing local presence in the commercial market.
Our property manager Nicole, supported by administrator Sammy, form a dedicated team to look after the day-to-day hassles of managing a rental property. They are experienced in all aspects of the job - from finding tenants to carrying out maintenance, regular inspections, conducting rent reviews, and mediating to avoid potential conflict. Our management rates are competitive and all inclusive, no hidden extra fees.
Barfoot & Thompson is a family-based, values-driven company, and this is an ethos that is evident throughout our entire network. Whether you are buying or selling, our salespeople will listen to your needs and try their best to meet your requirements. Communication is top of our list, and timely feedback to our customers is a central part of our service. Barfoot & Thompson offers exceptional training and support, so you'll find our salespeople to be knowledgeable and approachable.
