You need to maintain relationships in and outside your company so you can execute a plan, move a business or address a project management issue better than any of your competitors. Personal touches matter. If you’re someone who loves to meet and engage with a wide range of people then this could be for you.

Are you good with numbers, and/or do you have an aptitude to learn?

Whilst outstanding people skills can get you far, data and the ability to read, understand, utilise and present data enables you to set yourself apart from the market. This can be anything from market demographic studies, local research and financial analysis. The Auckland Commercial market is small and the best sales people who understand the market data come out on top.
