February 2016 rental report

Find out how the average rent for Auckland properties has changed over the past year and which areas are performing the best.

Compared to February 2015, the average weekly rent for one bedroom properties has risen by 4.8% (from $315 to $330), two bedroom by 6.3% (from $395 to $420), three bedroom by 5.6% (from $482 to $509), four bedroom by 5.1% (from $610 to $641) and five or more bedroom by 5.8% (from $756 to $800).

Franklin/Manukau continues to increase at a faster rate than the rest of Auckland. Over the past 12 months, rental prices there have increased by 8.5%.

Across all of our rental properties in Auckland, we saw a 6.3% increase over the past 12 months, with a 0.3% increase in the past month.
