Demand for rentals up

Royal Heights Property Manager Corrina Deverell says that demand for rentals is up in the area, particularly from tenants who have relocated there for employment at NorthWest Shopping Centre.

"It's a really thriving area with tons of shops, plenty of families and four Countdown supermarkets to serve the booming population."

About Royal Heights as a suburb

Close to the Northwestern motorway and the Shore, Royal Heights is an easy 15-20 minutes drive to Albany and the CBD. Moire Park - a major centre for sport and active recreation - is in the area, along with a wide range of schools and amenities.

Understanding yield

Yield is an income return on an investment.

To generate the gross rental yield, calculate the gross annual income of the property and divide it by the purchase price. When generating net rental yield you’ll need to take other expenses such as mortgage and rates into consideration.
