"My first introduction to Oleg was a week or two prior to listing our house (we anticipated through another firm who had already done an appraisal). My wife and I were doing some pre-listing tidying up at the front of our house when Oleg drove up. He introduced himself and told us he had been looking around the area and had a buyer he believed would purchase our house, were we interested in selling?. Our house was a “landmark” house in the area and I had heard all of this many times before. It usually went like this - a foot in the door; a look around; promises then out comes the listing authority and later surprise surprise, the buyer has disappeared off the scene. I was weary of the approach and not at all convinced as to his bona fides. Oleg looked around made a few enquiries of us and left without having presented an authority for our signatures. A couple of days later to our surprise he turned up with the buyers and an offer was presented later that day.
