The aspect of working in the property industry that I find so fascinating is connecting people with a need to people with a solution. My forte is linking the two together. I work tirelessly to help people achieve their goals and pursue their interests and I especially love the challenge of negotiating and finalising a deal.
I’m proud to work for Barfoot & Thompson. Their strength comes from their people who support each other every day to satisfy their clients with honesty and transparency. They have established a culture in which each employee feels a sense of belonging and empowerment. It’s like working in a family. Also, as a company they are at the forefront of technology-led solutions, developing, enhancing and investing in new cutting-edge tools for their staff.
I completed a Bachelor of Property and Commerce Conjoint degree from the University of Auckland. My introduction to real estate was as a PA/Admin to Kevin Liu, Branch Manager at Barfoot & Thompson Titirangi and previously a successful salesperson. Also in property, I worked with my brother-in-law in his GIB and Painting company, which was great experience and preparation for my career.
I have lived in Onehunga for nearly 14 years. I completed my primary and secondary education at the local schools and to me Onehunga has everything. It’s an area rich in history. During the 19th century most shipping between New Zealand and Great Britain came to Port of Onehunga. Due to its size and the treacherous Manukau Harbour, the Waitemata eventually became the main port of Auckland. It’s eight kilometres from the city centre, close to the volcanic cone of Maungakiekie, and quality eateries and cafes make it a vibrant community for the many different ethnicities who now call it home.
Life outside of work for me usually involves keeping fit at the gym and running. I love to watch the NBA and NFL and exploring the café scene of different areas usually involves some interesting food choices. My collection of rare sneakers and just sneakers in general, is a constant source of interest from my family and friends.
The saying, “where there’s a will there’s a way” resonates with me. I’m fluent in English, Vietnamese and I know some basic Korean and I’m based at Barfoot & Thompson Onehunga. Call or email me and I’ll start making some connections for you.
