Bruce grew up in south Epsom, part of a large family, known as 'the Manning Mob'- all of whom attended Royal Oak Primary School.
After attending Auckland Grammar, Bruce embarked on a varied and adventurous career, including occupations from lift operator at Mt. Ruapehu, to working on American tuna boats. Interspersed with these adventures Bruce managed to complete two degrees, a Bachelor of Science at Otago University, and a Master of Science (in Marine Biology), at Auckland University. He was employed for several years after this, in the very first intake of MAF Fisheries Observers, spending sometimes months at sea, collating independent measurements of the catches, quantity, and species, on both overseas and local boats, fishing our 200 mile exclusive zone.
Living and working at sea does have its limitations however, so looking at land based careers, he enrolled in a real estate course. Bruce has now been in the real estate industry for 27 years. Having experienced most of the roles available in real estate, including branch manager, and franchise owner, there are not many situations Bruce has not seen before, and knows how to handle. He has sold approximately 60 homes in Mangere Bridge, and approximately 150 homes in Onehunga and One Tree Hill, plus numerous sales wider afield (from Papatoetoe to Parnell). He has also overseen many other sales in his past branch manager roles.
He has served 9 years as Chairperson of the Mangere Bridge Business Association, which won the inaugural Business Improvement District of the year award, from the Manukau City Council, along with other awards during his tenure.
Now with Auckland's leading real estate agency, he provides a home selling expertise package, which is almost impossible to beat.
We wish to thank you for all the help you gave us in selling our home at 22 Ferguson Avenue, One Tree Hill. From the onset you pointed out all aspects of selling, advantages and pitfalls we might encounter, and gave us the confidence we needed to put our house on the market. We felt involved throughout, and were assured you would do the best possible, for us. It helped, a great deal to know we could always contact you with any queries we might have, and that kept stress to a minimum. Thanks again for all your help.Mary and Harold Blomfield
I deem it my duty to thank you very much for disposing of my unit in Royal Oak. I was delighted with the price, thus it enabled me to buy a superior unit down here in Hamilton East. I have settled in very happily now, my only regret was I didn't move on earlier.Adelaide Joy Hatton
On behalf of my wife and I, our most sincere thank you on the sale of the Mays Road, Onehunga property. When we met you in person we were impressed by the "homework" you already had done on our house & section. We felt you kept our interests firmly in mind throughout, and this was a major contribution to the outstanding result.Dave and Averil Woulfe
I know I wasn't the easiest Vendor but all your advice proved correct in the end. It was wonderful to see the crowd that turned up at the auction, and if it had not sold on that day I don't know what I would have done. Luckily there are still agents about who are both honest and work very hard.Cecily O'Connor
Congratulations on being Top Sales Person!!!! What a MAGNIFICENT EFFORT!!!
Many thanks for your professional advice on the best method to market my property, the efficient way in which you put this process in place, and the excellent communication you maintained with Marion and I, made this quite a stress free exercise. We were very pleased to achieve an unconditional sale at a good price so quickly.Doug MacRedie
Sorry, have been very busy with Mum in hospital and at home, but just wanted to express my sincere thanks for the wonderful job you did for us in selling Mum's place in Matapouri Road.
We found that you were the utmost professional, and listened to us and how we wanted to sell the house. You obtained a sale over and above our expectations.
Thank you so much and have a lovely Christmas
Merry Christmas, and thank you for your good work selling our house, and enabling us to move on to our new adventure.
Bruce Manning had sold the house to us many years before, and diligently kept in touch, so when we needed to sell, we naturally gave him an opportunity for the business. We found him to be "non pushy" which we needed. He was very patient and understanding, with sometimes difficult circumstances, and I thoroughly recommend him as an agent who will truly look after you, and your interests.Nicola Adamson
I entrusted my unit in McKenzie Road, Mangere Bridge, to Bruce Manning, as he was such a gentleman, so kind and patient, and kept me reassured throughout the process. And I was so happy with the sale price!Maxine Martin
......also farewell tonight to Bruce Manning, after 9+ years as Chairperson of the BID's Committee, (and Mangere Bridge Business Association) - thank you Bruce, for the many years of hard work, commitment and continued support.....Lydia Sosene
The property was a rental and Bruce managed a delicate liaison with the tenants for open homes and inspections. The success of a sale by auction was in no small part due to Bruce's commitment to achieving a successful outcome.
This is the first time I have sold a house, and Bruce was exceptional at explaining each step of the sale process, and was always available if I had any questions. The Auction went well, and I was very pleased with the outcome. I have no hesitation in recommending Bruce Manning.Liz Petty
