George spent his early years in the King Country before moving to Auckland in his late teens. An outgoing and friendly person by nature, George showed entrepreneurial skills from an early age and was a naturally talented salesperson.
First entering the real estate industry in 1982, having spent most of his time in commercial property, George eventually became a director of Colliers International.
An early passion for music was realised in the early 1990's when the opportunity to design, develop and build international recording facility "Revolver Studios" took George away from full time real estate, although he was continually involved in many development projects during this time.
Revolver Studios has recorded artists such as Kiri Te Kanawha, Crowded House, Dave Dobbyn and many more and worked on many prominent film and advertising projects. George remains director of Revolver Studios to this day.
George moved to Waiuku in 2000 after purchasing a lifestyle block and has been a 'proud local' ever since and increased his involvement again in real estate.
Drawing from his broad experience, George particularly enjoys problem solving and dealing with challenges that may arise during the process of selling, purchasing, financing and structuring property transactions and looks forward to working closely with customers to meet all their real estate requirements.
I would like to extend my thanks to George Schoushkoff, who went out of this way to offer advice and took the time to visit our property on two occasions to get a valuation, even with the knowledge that at that time we were not thinking of selling.
My husband and I were financially stretched with our mortgage repayments and due to George's advice, we have changed over banks to the BNZ, with much reduced repayments and better rates! We were also pleasantly surprised to find our property value has increased as much as it has!
We are very grateful to George, he showed us a way out of a financially stressful situation and we'd like to say a big "thank you".
My partner and I are about to settle on our first home purchase in sunny Waiuku through Barfoot and Thompson.
We were introduced to George & Caroline through George's brother and we were cared for like precious cargo from day one, which we were - first home buyers in a white hot Auckland property market. It turned out the house we purchased through George was not straightforward and we had to work very hard for our ultimate result - but we were never alone throughout the entire process. George and Caroline were only a phone call away and provided advice and help through the many situations that arose, including requiring a number of extensions before going unconditional. Our struggle was theirs and we did not feel overwhelmed or without support.
George and Caroline's local knowledge, experience and determination kept us encouraged and the glass was never half empty! Their hopes were always high and their confidence definitely eased our own qualms. George often said 'if you were my kids, I would advise...' - I was really chuffed to know George was treating us like his own - it was all new, scary territory for Patrick and I and we needed as much help as possible.
George was always checking in with us and he would do his best to resolve issues. His endearing personality and ability to relate to others was instrumental with resolving problems and eventually assisting us in purchasing a house that was over and above what we had dreamed of in a home - for that we are incredibly grateful.
We are very excited to call George and Caroline our new neighbours and Waiuku our new home! A thousand thank yous to George and Caroline for throwing absolutely everything they had at our house purchase and anyone lucky enough to deal with them will not be let down.
I am very happy with the professionalism from George and the way he managed to sell our property.Fergus Waddell, May 2015
