What I love about real estate is the fact that every day is different – you never know what is just around the corner. I may be young for the Body Corporate world, but I love property and I take great pride in the complexes for which I am responsible, as an Account Manager.
I like the fact Barfoot & Thompson is very much a part of the local community where we do business. As a company they sponsor many events, one of my favourites being the annual twilight races at Ellerslie Racecourse. Their support of various sports teams and community organisations plays a part in making Auckland a great place to live and work.
My working career began at McDonalds where I quickly worked my way up to Shift Manager. After a short spell in the hospitality industry, I saw my opportunity to move into the property world. I took the role of a letting agent in property management and gradually worked my way to be a residential property manager. I learned a lot about people on this journey and I also learned that ‘there is a solution to any problem’! My strong communication skills help to build long-lasting relationships with clients, which in turn invariably leads to a positive outcome.
I am presently studying a Bachelor of Property at the University of Auckland, and am excited to be on track to complete in February 2021. A couple of awards of which I’m particularly proud is a first in the North Island Secondary School Champs Rowing Regatta and a Second In the Mardi Secondary School Champs. Both awards were for the U16 4+ (Sweep).
Outside of work, I enjoy getting out of Auckland and particularly love spending time at Mangawhai Heads and Mount Manganui. I go to the gym on a daily basis and heading to the movies is a good way to relax and unwind.
If you’ve finished reading my profile, you’ll know that I’m enthusiastic and I love my job. That’s a very good start to a positive relationship with you, my clients.
