5 Stars Nothing to lose
Even though I have warned people not to list your property with a friend, I went against my own advice. My husband and I are extremely knowledgeable about real estate having sold properties ourselves and owned our own real estate agency with many offices. We were not disappointed with Lani's commitment to the sales process. She very quickly negotiated an excellent offer, however what impressed us was that she kept showing the property and getting back up agreements until one stuck. It is easy for an salesperson to be lazy in this heated market, once they have a good property to sell as they almost sell themselves. However, to get the best offer in a professional and stress-free manner where you can totally trust the salesperson is rare. We have many other properties that we will be selling and if Lani can handle us we certainly would like her to work with us again and again. Our friendship is secure in the knowledge that Lani will do her best and not give up until she gets a result we are happy with.

Lani has done a great job in marketing our property in 2021. I think we picked the correct marketing strategy for the situation in Auckland, and she did a great job on following that strategy through. For us, other than keeping the house in presentable condition and liaising with Lani, it felt like we were hands-off the selling process. No doubt Lani has put in a significant number of hours with potential buyers. But for us that has been out of view and with two young kids and a job, we wouldn’t have had the capacity to do any of that. Lani came around with champagne and flowers to congratulate us after the auction, but I feel she deserved the thanks and a decent break. She looked more exhausted than us!
