Whether it’s a couple buying their first home, a family buying a property to build a lifetime of memories or a bachelor buying his ultimate pad, helping people at such an important stage of their lives is what makes the real estate business so exciting for me.
After reading Barfoot & Thompson’s tagline on the website; “No other real estate company positions you for success and offers the ongoing professional support that we do,” it was an easy decision to make, to come on board. I knew that working for a family-owned and managed company with more than 95 years’ experience, was where I wanted to launch my real estate career.
In 2005, I began studying for a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology Engineering from Kurukshetra University in India. I completed my degree in 2009. In 2018, I worked in a marketing role for an immigration company in Takanini. Also, I have experience working in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Both of these roles require careful planning, attention to detail and the very best customer service. I’m a good communicator and I am skilled at discovering my client’s needs regarding property.
Auckland is called “The City of Sails”, and for good reason. It’s located on two scenic harbours, the Waitemata harbour on the Pacific Ocean, and the Manukau harbour on the Tasman Sea. Living in this desirable city, in just 30 minutes you can be at the beach, hiking on beautiful trails or visiting one of the many islands just a boat ride away. I’ve been living in South Auckland for six years now and I know the area.
Life outside of work for me is family, music, and adventuring into the outdoors either hiking or walking. As a family, we love to support local organisations.
I speak English, Hindi and Punjabi. My motto in life is “step outside your comfort zone and challenge yourself”. Call me at Barfoot & Thompson Papakura and we’ll work on your challenges together!
In November 2021, Gurvinder Singh and Manish Sharma were engaged to sell my house on Rathmar Drive, Manurewa. Throughout the process they showed so much kindness and patience with me. I am 72 years old and have been in this property for 13 years and I was unsure whether I was doing the right thing in selling. I am moving to be closer to family as I am on my own and am heading to Palmerston North.
During the process of selling I had open homes and every now then, I nearly wanted to pull out and stay. They both encouraged me to hold out and think of the main reasons for moving. I also had friends and other family telling me what to do and what not to do, which made this very difficult and confusing.
I can absolutely say thank you to both Gurvinder and Manish. They were always on time for appointments, they did not let me down and did not push me into something I did not want. I am sure they will be a good asset to Barfoot & Thompson.Maureen Cazalet
A Short Journey of Selling Our Family Home
We recently sold our family home with Gurvinder and Manish. Initially it seemed to be a very stressful process but after our first meeting we felt 100% confident by partnering with them. In addition, they were extremely responsive to every one of our questions, no matter how small. Gurvinder and Manish's knowledge and professionalism have consistently guided us throughout the journey. They keep their client’s best interests in sharp focus, which brings great peace of mind for a vendor who is selling a property for the first time. They guided us thoroughly on how they would work on marketing and presenting the house to get the best out of the house. It was an amazing journey right from meeting them, planning everything, keeping us updated, right up to the Auction.
The work they have done has exceeded our expectations and the end result has been fabulous too. We will always highly recommend them to everyone.Varun & Rishita
