I’m passionate about property management because at its heart, it’s all about people. I enjoy being the steady hand behind the scenes, making sure tenants are happy, issues are resolved swiftly and property value is maintained. Every day brings something new and I love that variety. It keeps me sharp, organised and always learning.
I was drawn to Barfoot & Thompson because of its strong people-first culture. I love that it’s family-owned and the collaborative approach between branches creates a teamwork environment. It feels like the kind of place where people enjoy coming to work and are supported to do their best.
Before entering the real estate industry, I worked in Human Resources, specialising in Talent Acquisition. This background has given me valuable insight into understanding people’s needs and building trust-based relationships. I also hold a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Digital Technology, which helps me stay ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving industry.
St Heliers feels like a relaxed seaside village with a strong sense of community. I live just around the corner in Mission Bay, so this isn’t just my work area - it’s my home.
One of my key strengths is the ability to think quickly and calmly under pressure. Property management requires a level head and strong problem-solving skills and I pride myself on being proactive, organised and approachable. I treat every property as if it were my own and genuinely care about the people I work with and the homes I manage.
My personal philosophy is simple: “Do the right thing, even when no one is watching.” It’s this philosophy that guides the way I approach both work and life.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, whether it's swimming, going to the gym, or simply catching a sunset at the beach. I speak Sinhalese and am always keen to continue learning and growing, both professionally and personally.
For me, property management isn’t just about ticking boxes, it’s about building trust, delivering value and contributing to the well-being of a community I call home.
