About Nickie O'Brien
After investigating what was required of a property manager I believed that I had all the skills necessary, making it an easy fit. I have been working in real estate for three and a half years now at the Barfoot & Thompson Pukekohe branch as the property portfolio manager.
I completed a Diploma in Visual Arts and Design and Photography and worked as a photographer and photofinisher for 18 years. Together with seven years in retail, this background was great preparation for dealing with people. When I meet people face to face, similar to looking through the lens of a camera, I have the ability to read people quickly and adapt, to achieve the best outcome for their circumstances.
Being awarded Property Manager of the Year for 2017 to 2018 by Property Link Groups Limited was a particularly proud moment for me and I am working towards a similar award from Barfoot & Thompson. I offer my clients honesty and integrity, and I like how the principles of Barfoot & Thompson have always stayed the same.
I am involved in Piggott Wetlands - a project where Fish and Game members are responsible for the maintenance, care and enhancement of the wetlands and natural ecosystem. My role is as their treasurer and secretary.
People make this community and I am enjoying being part of people's lives and helping people make important decisions.
