We approached Neil O'Gorman to list our property at Long Bay. From the time he visited to establish the auction process until the sale two months or so later, we have found Neil to be the most professional agent we have dealt with over the last 30 years or so that we have been involved in real estate. The outstanding marketing techniques were great with a showcase video, brochures and signboard that highlighted the features of our property we felt so passionate about.
Every week Neil presented an intensive report to us on how the open homes went and feedback details from those who visited our property. Rowena and I met Neil at what was to be our new home on 16 December 2018. We texted him the night before and he promptly replied, telling us that if we were interested in the house, we shoulvisit on what was to be the last viewing. The house went on multiple offers that day. We found him to be very helpful and open. As we liked the property immensely, we met with him after a couple of hours to put in our offer. He explained to us each and every page that we signed and even told us some of the background on new government policies and why they were put in place. He also suggested reasonable dates for the bank approval and closing date deadlines. This helped us a lot and made the whole experience less stressful. Later that day, he came back to us immediately to explain the vendor's counter-offer and we found ourselves new homeowners.
But Neil's services didn't end there. He acted as go-between in an issue we had with the vendor and was always available when we had questions. He was always smiling, never impatient and not patronising to us who were first time homebuyers. Neil made our first-time home purchase experience very pleasant and such a breeze! I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent standard of work and dedication that Neil O'Gorman gave to our family with the sale of our mother's house. I cannot commend highly enough the informative and frequent communication, the attention to detail, and the willingness to go the extra mile. Living in another city to where the house for sale is, would normally create a few difficulties, but Neil went out of his way to assist and fix any issue or problem that arose and keeping us well informed in the process. Circumstances meant that the house was listed for sale just on the Christmas period which is not the best timing and the market was dropping. However this did not deter Neil at all who worked throughout that entire time in order to get us the result we were looking for. There was a cyclone over this period and Neil was out there sweeping up the driveway and clearing debris on our behalf. Again, we didn't know the extent of his assistance until after the event. We had one deal that fell over due to finance two days after signing the agreement and within a day, Neil had another one lined up for us.
On the morning of final inspection we had another mishap totally out of everyone's control. Even though we were on the spot, between call centres and everything else we were struggling to get it sorted in time but Neil to the rescue. He dropped everything and worked tirelessly to gain a solution and had it resolved with fifteen minutes to spare. This man does not give up on his clients, whether they are vendors or purchasers. He will help and advise where he can and I have no hesitation in recommending him in his role as Real Estate Agent. And of course, the great communication and the mad sense of humour are an absolute asset and make him a real pleasure to work with.
