I am not just a salesperson, I have been actively investing in long-term rental properties in Auckland ever since I migrated to New Zealand from Bangkok, Thailand over 20 years ago. This makes me a seasoned expert in the field and someone you can rely on for candid and transparent property assessments.
I have a Master’s Degree in English Language and Literature and also a Diploma in Journalism. Prior to real estate, I enjoyed a successful career as a Journalist and Editor. As part of those roles I have over 25 years of experience working with renowned daily newspapers in Asia such as ‘Business Day’ and the ‘Bangkok Post’. My accomplishments in this arena speak to my ability to write engaging copy and to communicate efficiently.
After being employed for five years as the Chief Editor of the ‘Indian Tribune’ in Auckland, I launched my own tabloid newspaper called the IndianNZ Outlook in 2010. This was successfully published in both print and electronic editions for more than a decade. During that period, I wrote features, analysis pieces, opinions, editorials and advertorials. I also sold advertisements to several banks, corporate companies and SMEs in New Zealand. As part of my regular work, I was fortunate to interview ministers, MPs, politicians and diplomats to seek their views on many current issues within the community.
I have sound sales experience as well, having worked as a BDM and later as a Sales Manager for Yellow Pages in Auckland. I have solid experience in business having owned and managed businesses in Auckland. This included a gym, a Coffee Club franchise and an Indian restaurant, which are some of my many successful business ventures.
I bring to Barfoot & Thompson my rich and varied experience that includes customer service, sales, portfolio management, client care, business management, and my own personal and fruitful real estate experience spanning 20 years.
