First and foremost, I am a people-person who thrives on the success of others. Upon joining Barfoot & Thompson in 2014, I was the salesperson of choice becoming one of the top property professionals in Glen Eden. I then spent some time as the company’s 'Accelerators' manager, trainer and recruiter.
As Branch Manager for Glen Eden I am committed to my team – mentoring, training and encouraging them to succeed. I believe you need to invest in your people first and foremost.
Prior to real estate, I owned a business where the primary objective was to help others achieve their goals and to be successful in their daily lives. I spent the first part of my career studying and working in coaching and facilitation, including a stint with the Auckland Blues as a strength and conditioning coach and Harbour Sport as a facilitator. My primary role was to create and apply programmes that people believed in, connected and succeeded with. I completed a degree majoring in coaching and have enjoyed roles that involved aspects of coaching, training, and facilitation.
What I have learned through these experiences is that even though real estate is a team sport, it is imperative that we focus on the individual. I believe it is important that all of the people at Barfoot & Thompson feel like they are being supported and that they can succeed in the competitive environment in which they operate.
I enjoy the real estate industry. I also feel my future is in the business of developing people. This role combines both of these passions.
