About Shayne Wilson

As a Letting Specialist at Barfoot & Thompson Pukekohe, every day I meet people from different cultures and backgrounds. Helping them to find that special place to call home gives me the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Barfoot & Thompson also makes a difference to peoples’ lives whether sponsoring events, supporting various sports teams or helping community organisations, they play a big part in making Auckland a great place to work and live.

I live rurally about 20 kilometres from Pukekohe and driving to work through beautiful countryside sets me up for the day. I enjoy everything that goes with a rural a lifestyle – horse riding, hunting with the local hunt clubs and of course the Onewhero Golf Club, with the locals on a Friday night - for a meal that is.

Along with my horses, there’s Molly the rescue dog, Trixie the 19 years young cat and Minty the Indian green neck parrot. Minty knows how to charm and delight all who meet him and he has a remarkable talking ability.

My career prior to real estate also made a difference in people’s lives but in a different way. I worked for a pharmacy manufacturing company and also an orthopaedic company as a loans kit coordinator dealing with instrumentation and implants, i.e. hip, shoulder and knee replacements. Animals have always been a part of my life too and I worked for a company making haemoglobin from fresh cow’s blood to treat dogs with anaemia.

Quite simply, having empathy for my customers shows them that I really care. Partner that with excellent customer service and that’s what I have to offer – a winning combination! My customers feel heard, understood and they have confidence that they’ll find a place to call home.

You’ll find me at Barfoot & Thompson Pukekohe along with the rest of our great team. If you’re ready to make a move, call or email me or maybe drop into the office for a chat.
