In 1982, my real estate career began at Barfoot & Thompson Epsom branch. Early on, I learned that selling isn’t about ‘telling’, it’s about ‘asking questions and solving problems’. For almost 40 years now, I’ve been doing just that; asking questions, solving problems and achieving goals!
A sales and marketing role in Australia was an opportunity to broaden my skills on all things property. It was a diverse collection and included primary homes, holiday homes, residential golf-course estates, residential subdivisions, luxury apartments and retirement villages. I conducted scores of ‘off the plans’ sales for property developers and I also honed my construction and town-planning knowledge. This gave me the expertise to advise my buyers and sellers.
So much exposure to all manner of sale and purchase agreements, achieving other people’s property ownership aspirations, has instilled in me the importance of always putting my clients’ needs ahead of my own.
Outside of business, my interests include sailing in New Zealand and chartering in other destinations. I also enjoy golf, home design and renovation and writing. I’ve published one book, The Happiness Secret. My wife June and I have four grown-up children – two of each, each. Splitting our lives and careers across the ditch before marrying in Hawaii and settling in Russell, we’ve made many long-standing connections on both sides of the Tasman. I now specialise in residential property in the Bay of Islands. In addition to New Zealand, some of my recent real estate activity has borne results for clients residing in Australia, Austria, Hawaii, Canada and the UK.
Whether you’re buying or selling, make that one to call me! I’ll apply my best efforts to achieve the results that you want, too.
Steve, please accept this gift as a token of our appreciation for your efforts - before and after settlement – thanks so much for all you did to help us realise our dream home in Russell, we couldn’t have done it without you.
SincerelyDeborah & Molly - Oregon, USA
