About Simon Yoo
Meeting people, learning about their goals and building a relationship, is a good starting point if you are looking to buy or wanting to sell. I like to think that when I meet new people, discuss their priorities, and work towards a solution with them, that eventually they become friends and not just clients.
My work history as an assistant in a hair salon, a barista and especially working as a carpenter building new residential houses and renovating old houses sparked my interest in real estate. Choosing Barfoot & Thompson was easy. I like the fact that it is a family owned business with family values and is a well-respected real estate brand. As a non-franchised agency, all 1,500 salespeople share information and listings resulting in a far great reach and selling power.
I've lived in St Heliers and central Auckland and moved to the North Shore in 2016. Takapuna was home for three years and now, together with my family, I have settled in Milford. The Shore has everything you need; beautiful beaches, a transport hub and a great mix of different cultures. Central Auckland is just short car or ferry ride away and the relaxed lifestyle and people from all over the world, make it a great neighbourhood to live.
I have a beautiful wife and two lovely children, a boy and a girl, and we have an adorable dog called Kancho. She's a Cavoodle which is a cross been a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I like to play with my kids and keep fit on the weekends.
I'm a Korean-Kiwi born in Auckland, so I'm fluent in English and Korean.
Call me at the Barfoot & Thompson Takapuna branch. I love having coffee when I meet new people, so let's start there!
