I am often asked “Why choose me?” At the end of the day, what is most important to me and therefore to you, my clients, is understanding. Understanding what your story is, what your requirements are and what you want your future to hold.
I’m a firm believer that a salesperson with passion, a positive attitude, who is innovative, has empathy and a singular focus, cannot just realise a good price for your home but I believe, can in fact realise an exceptional price for your home! One of those salespeople is me – Tony Cederwall.
I moved to the Bays in 1987. I played rugby and cricket and made life-long friends at the East Coast Bays Rugby and Cricket clubs. After studying accountancy and management at university, I went on to play cricket in England. I had various jobs in a number of companies before running my own business for 22 years. I quickly learned all about selling, customer service, finances, banking, budgeting, staff and people management and every other little thing you need to know about running a successful business.
I have my own story, (which we’ll save for another day), in regards to my personal life, that has made me appreciate that life is short and that we should all be doing what we truly want to do in our lives. Hence my move to real estate! I have always loved buying property. I envision how a property could be improved; I renovate and voila! My vision comes to life! I know that buying and selling property can be stressful. I ensure that it is as stress-free as possible. I have tools and techniques to ensure all the ‘I’s’ are dotted and the ‘T’s are crossed. I am ready to sell, and sell well.
I’m very thankful for the life I have lead so far and my son Robbie, who we lost in 2018, is my inspiration. He was so proud of my involvement in the charity ‘First Steps Himalayas’. In his honour, from every completed sale, I donate $1,000 to them. I have twice, travelled to Nepal to help with building schools for the kids there and am committed to going back next year if I can. I am a firm believer in helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
And that is just one of the reasons that I chose to work with Barfoot & Thompson. They have a similar moral compass to my own, particularly when it comes to family, community and serving the people. As Peter Thompson, Managing Director, once said “We’re not in the property business, we’re in the people business! It’s all about the people.” Barfoot & Thompson, New Zealand’s largest privately owned real estate company for nearly 100 years, currently sell one in three houses in Auckland. That’s very good odds for my clients.
Family and community, understanding and passion, experience and innovation - these are a few of my favourite things. If they are yours too, then I’d love to hear from you to discuss your next move.
