I think it is the fast-paced environment and the fact that you need to think on your feet, that makes real estate such an exciting industry for me. Working with a client’s asset whether they are a first time buyer in need of guidance or a first-time investor who requires expertise and knowledge to navigate the process, really keeps me on my toes. My love for the business never wains.
Barfoot & Thompson is a family-owned, non-franchised real estate company. This model allows any of the company’s 1,500+ salespeople to introduce buyers and share information on any property that is listed. This increases the reach of property campaigns and creates a scale of competition for every client. The current market share for the company is 40% in the Auckland and Northland regions. This means that one in three houses in Auckland is sold by Barfoot & Thompson.
I have a national Diploma in Travel & Tourism and my first job in the travel industry was for a large consortium. Eventually I purchased my own franchise and within a three-year period, achieved considerable success in the business.
Landfall for me was Auckland, after emigrating from South Africa. I’m still here, together with my husband and two children and we love it. As a family we enjoy the outdoors and experiencing new things together. I am quite competitive and have taken part in a few CrossFit competitions, swims, triathlons and cycle races. Then again, I’m just as happy settling on the couch with the family, eating popcorn and watching a movie.
Call or email me at Barfoot & Thompson Northcote. I speak English and Afrikaans and I’m in the business of showing up when it’s needed.
