About Trevor Wyness

This is not about me, but the hundreds of buyers and sellers that I have been privileged to serve during my 26 years of professional Real Estate transactions.

Looking back (which we are told not to do) is a pleasurable exercise, with many of my clients now treasured friends, who continue to refer me their family and friends to assist them with their Real Estate needs and opportunities - now and into the future. My philosophy has always been "do onto others what you expect them to do unto you" and to always remember that "life is on the side of the giver".

I have been engaged for over 50 years in the service industry which is also my main focus with every Real Estate client. We all know that "we reap what we sow" so when I am employed by a customer/ client this truth is always at the forefront.

I have never liked heralding my own success and instead leave that to others who unprompted speak on my behalf. Someone has said that you can't buy experience, it naturally accumulates as time goes by, so I invite you to take advantage of it.

Thank you for an excellent marketing campaign and for making it as easy as possible for me while Hamish was absent in China. I appreciated your thoughtfulness regarding not bring potential buyers through at all hours but booking a time and having one of you present when other agents were involved.

We have recently sold our house in Kohimarama, Auckland, through Trevor Wyness and Wayne McCarthy of Barfoot & Thompson. It proved to be a very easy and happy process all around.

We are living in Australia and a friend recommended Trevor to us. We contacted a few real estate agencies in the area to submit proposals to sell our house, and from day one Trevor was the most efficient and realistic agent. He was also the only agent that made the effort to contact us in Australia and have further discussions.

We decided to offer the mandate to Trevor on his professional approach and very importantly for us that he was going to be a good communicator with us being so far away from the action.

I initially got in touch with Trevor and Wayne about selling my property because my valuer recommended their ability to "get the job done".

I wondered how their "two agent", team approach would work. Would one of them be my principle agent, or would I work with both of them? With only one of me, would two agents be one agent too many?

From the first meeting, I found myself very happy to be working with both of them. They are a great example of the power of teamwork. Each contributes what he does best and each is expert in that area.

They are very experienced negotiators. Prior to their lengthy real estate careers, I was impressed to learn each had substantial prior sales experience in both consumer and business-to-business markets.

They enjoy their work and it shows. They have fun and are fun to work with. As selling a house can be stressful, this was a lovely bonus.

Lastly, in choosing Trevor and Wayne, I quickly discovered I had also chosen Barfoot & Thompson's entire network of agents. Having recently worked with another real estate company, I was quick to appreciate the difference. From day one, not only did twice as many agents view my property, but they began promoting my property straight away. The activity and the results were spectacular. My property sold in 36 hours at a price that exceeded my expectations.

I would venture to say that together Wayne and Trevor operate as a composite "perfect agent". Add the backing of Barfoot & Thompson and it just keeps getting better.
