I gained a Master’s Degree with Honours in Linguistics from Auckland University, and I studied Quantity Surveying at UNITEC. My career prior real estate was as a teacher and also an estimator. Estimating is one of the most difficult jobs in the building industry and it is also one of the most important. Profits are typically won or lost based on how accurate estimates are and how closely they match up to final project costs.
