November 2015 rental report

The average rent for an Auckland property increased by 6.8% ($32) in the past 12 months.

Compared to November 2014, the average weekly rent for one bedroom properties has risen by 4.8% (from $313 to $328), two bedroom by 6.9% (from $390 to $417), three bedroom by 5.7% (from $476 to $503), four bedroom by 6.3% (from $599 to $637) and five or more bedroom by 5.2% (from $749 to $788).

Franklin / Manukau Rural remains the cheapest area for rentals, with rentals there commanding an average of $424 per week.

Central Auckland apartments continue to be the expensive group by area, with three bedroom apartments receiving an average of $385 per week.
