November 2017 rental report

Find out how the average rent for different-sized Auckland properties has changed over the past year.

  • Auckland average rents have increased $24 per week, or 4.7%, in the 12 months since December 2016.
  • Rodney, Central Auckland and West Auckland have seen the largest percentage increases in rent over the last 12 months, with increases of 5.9%, 5.8% and 5.7% respectively.
  • The largest increase in one bedroom properties is seen in Rodney, with an increase of $80 per week in the last 12 months.
  • The largest increase in large properties with 5 or more bedrooms was in the Central Suburbs, with $60.
