April 2018 rental report

Find out how the average rent for different-sized Auckland properties has changed over the past year.

  • With minimal fluctuations in the average sale price and rental of three bedroom properties, the average yield has remained stable at 3.1% since July 2017.
  • When ranked by yield, seven of the top ten suburbs are in South Auckland.
  • Average South Auckland rents have increased 3.7% in the last 12 months.
  • Large homes (5+ bedrooms) show the largest increase of 4.5%
