August 2018 rental report

Find out how the average rent for different-sized Auckland properties has changed over the past year.

  • Rents in the greater Auckland region continue to increase at a steady pace of 3.5% per annum.
  • One and two bedroom properties have seen sharper increases in the past 12 months than properties with more than four bedrooms. 
  • Eastern suburbs remain the highest priced area for rentals, with Franklin/Manukau rental being the lowest, though Franklin/Manukau are still seeing the greatest gains.
