Suburb Spotlight : Massey

Massey is a north-western suburb of Auckland which has increased in popularity as a place to call home for a number of exciting reasons. Great for families, life doesn’t get more convenient with its many large shopping centres and supermarkets. Also, the commute to the CBD just got a whole lot easier with road improvements that have shortened travel times.

Massey don’t often get the attention it deserves as it is not as heavily developed as some suburbs closer to the CBD. However, what it lacks in finesse, it makes up for in easy living and much more house for your money than other areas. It’s location will be the first thing to tempt you as it boasts fantastic motorway access that makes commutes to the city less stressful. The newly extended and upgraded State Highway 18, will surely designate Massey as one of Auckland's future growth areas. Running parallel to the motorway is a bike path that can be used for recreation, a good workout or a clever way to commute to your job.

Potential purchasers will be delighted when they see home pricing trends. You would be hard-pressed to find a better place in the Auckland vicinity where you could get a home of substantial size for around the $700K mark. In short, you can get much more home for your hard earned dollar in this suburb. Common here are double-story properties, large decks, gardens and lawns, professional fencing, plenty of space for kids to play, wide driveways, landscaping and even swimming pools.
