Barfoot & Thompson - a major sponsor of the 2019 Chinese New Year

Barfoot & Thompson is pleased to once again be a major sponsor of the Chinese New Year Festival held by the Auckland Chinese Community Centre Inc. on 2 February 2019.

This annual celebration which has taken place for over 30 years has grown in popularity and now features as a highlight on the Auckland summer events calendar with an attendance of approximately 20,000 people.

Managing Director, Peter Thompson said, “Through our various Barfoot & Thompson sponsorships we have the opportunity to appreciate and showcase the diversity of our workforce and multicultural country.”

“Through this festival, we want to engage with members of the public in a fun and interactive manner both prior to and during this festival. So, from today until 8 February, there is a $1,000 red packet up for grabs by simply doing the following:
1. Follow the Barfoot & Thompson WeChat official account,
2. Type the message “red packet” to activate the competition landing page to enter the landing page,
3. Then share the link to your WeChat contacts, WeChat group or WeChat moments”

“During the festival, come meet the Barfoot & Thompson team at stalls 326 & 430, where attendees can participate in our post-card activation by writing a New Year’s message to their friends and family. Barfoot & Thompson will then post their postcards for them to anywhere in the world. The postcard will be pinned to a 'Wishing Tree' and be displayed throughout the day.”
