In our latest housing market update, Peter Thompson reports that the Auckland property market saw a strong start to spring, with September sales hitting their highest level for the month in four years.
1,032 sales - up 13.8% on the monthly average from the past three months
Median price: $930,000 | Average price: $1.089M
26.5% of all sales were under $750,000
Buyer confidence returned as many looked to act before prices begin to rise. Affordable homes, particularly under $750,000, remained popular with first-home buyers and investors. New listings were strong at 1,781, bringing total stock to 5,775.
