The Auckland housing market has kicked off 2026 with renewed confidence, delivering one of the strongest January performances in the past decade.
Median sale price hits $1 million - the first time in over 12 months
824 properties sold, making it the highest January sales volume in five years
Average sale price reached $1,169,773, up nearly $36,000 on the previous three months
Our Managing Director Peter Thompson says it’s “one of the better starts to the trading year in the past decade,” with January sales exceeded only twice in the last ten years.
