In my role as a Commercial Property Manager, I manage a mix of commercial retail, industrial and office property. I oversee the operation of premises including handling all the day to day issues as Lease Management, Building Compliance, Maintenance and Accounting/Budgeting.
My previous experience working as a relationship manager in the commercial banking sector made me an expert at listening, communicating and building relationships based on honesty and trust. These are all valuable skills that I have been able to carry across to my current role in real estate.
A number of years ago I also completed a Master of Property which deepened my understanding of valuation, marketing, management, development, construction, law, finance and economics. Teaming this qualification with my passion for everything to do with property including design, construction, management, sales and development – is what led me to a seven-year career in Property Management.
As a previous tenant and now a home-owner myself I am able to provide insights into the different needs, perspectives and expectations of both parties. In addition, my ability to confidently converse in both Chinese as well as English is very reassuring for tenants and vendors.
I love the multicultural makeup of Auckland. It is a city full of energy and diversity and it is fun to work with people from different backgrounds. When I’m not working, in my spare time I enjoy painting with watercolours which I often gift to friends. On rainy days you'll find me in the gym and on sunny days hiking somewhere green and beautiful.
