October 2017 rental report

Find out how the average rent for different-sized Auckland properties has changed over the past year.

  • Auckland average rental is up by 5% on the same month as last year. This is a $24 increase.
  • The greatest increase has been in Rodney, with an increase of 6.4%.
  • Auckland Central remains the most expensive for 1, 2 and 3 bedroom properties, and Eastern Suburbs for 4 and 5+.
  • 3 bedroom properties are the preferred size, with 41% of rentals of this size, followed by 2 bedrooms at 25%.
