April 2017 rental report

Find out how the average rent for different-sized Auckland properties has changed over the past year.

  • Average rent has increased in the past 12 months by $22, this is an increase of 4.4%. 
  • The greatest percentage increase in this period has been in the South Auckland area, which is up by 5.4%.
  • Percentage growth has been stronger in smaller properties in the past 12 months, with one bedroom properties increasing by 5.2% and two bedroom properties by 4.6%.
