For me, real estate is about helping people. I’m excited to be joining Team Sumer - my father, Binesh Sumer, has been a salesperson with Barfoot & Thompson for 16 years together with my mother, Usha. Before launching my real estate career, to gain some business expertise and knowledge of the property market, I worked in Property Management and at the same time assisted my parent’s business with social media marketing and elevated new listings online, with effective and up-to-the-minute marketing strategies.
Barfoot & Thompson, after nearly 100 years in business, is still family-owned. My father has always spoken highly of the brand and reputation of the company and I’m proud to be part of my family team at Meadowlands.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies in 2011, to gain some international experience, I travelled overseas and worked as a designer for top tier Australian companies. My passion for the building environment teams up with my love of photography and nature and I am always on the lookout for new design trends for my clients.
I’ve lived in the heart of Flatbush for three years now as has my whole family. It’s a fairly new and multicultural suburb of Auckland – people are friendly and often, when I’m out for a stroll, they stop for a chat.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me doing hot yoga, cooking, reading and of course spending time with my family.
As well as English I speak Hindi. I have a creative mindset and I’m always looking for fresh ideas and tools when it comes to marketing property.
