Girish is an honest and truthful person. He does not over promise to get a listing and his advice and communication is based on his extensive knowledge of the market he specialises in. He worked extremely hard on my behalf to sell my house. The eventual sale price was right in the middle of the price range he provided as a market appraisal prior to selling my house. I would use Girish again and would recommend him to family and friends.

I am writing to share about my recent experience with Barfoot & Thompson salespeople who helped me to sell my house.

After my husband's passing last year, I decided to move to live with my family in Canada. As part of that moving process, I had to sell my home on Hillside Road, Papatoetoe, Auckland. My son and I actively sought different real estate salespeople in the area. I eventually decided to choose Girish Verma and Victor Ghai as my house-selling salespeople as they had a friendly approach and warm personality, and they also provided very honest feedback and thoughts on the valuation of my property. It was important to me that my salespeople provide a thorough and accurate valuation, but also have a positive interest in promoting the many different aspects of my home that I have enjoyed over my 15 years living there, and all of the upgrades and additions to the house.

Victor and Girish were excellent right from the get-go, and throughout the entire process. They took time and effort to communicate with my son in Canada and were very clear in their communication (both calls and email) with us. They made extra effort to accommodate my schedule, and were also very patient to address my needs and concerns during the listing process and open-home visits. We were also very pleased with the great photos that were taken for the listing, and the superbly-done promotional video of the property. The quality of their work made us even happier because we know that my late husband would have been so very proud of it.

The house went to auction on 4 May 2021. Even though the final bid was well below our reserve price, the work that Barfoot & Thompson did to negotiate with the buyers immediately after the auction ended, helped us achieve a much higher sale price, and very close to the reserve. We received feedback later that it was a very good sale in the area! We are very pleased with how it all turned out, and we are thankful to Victor, Girish and their team at Papatoetoe. Both of them were also kind to offer help in other matters after the sale.

I am grateful to them both for making the sale process a memorable one. I must admit that when we started, I was looking for a good salesperson.
