It is my passion for Whitford and the surrounding districts, combined with some solid experience in the real estate and advertising industries,that makes me such an effective salesperson for Barfoot & Thompson.

It would be difficult to find a professional who’s better qualified or more suited to the role than me. Originally I was a dairy farmer and cartage contractor, but then I came into the real estate industry in 1980, selling in Howick which I enjoyed, and subsequently a career in advertising with the New Zealand Herald beckoned. I am a past member of the Advertising Institute of New Zealand and an Associate Fellow of the Institute.

In 1999, after 18 years, I made the decision to return to real estate and joined a local firm. Four years earlier I had moved to Whitford after living for many years in Howick. Still, to this day, I enjoy introducing others to our wonderful area and showing them the benefits of a rural lifestyle.

In 2005 I enrolled at Massey University to study for a Business Diploma, majoring in real estate and graduated in 2008. In 2006 I qualified as a branch manager and was voted an associate of the Real Estate Institute in 2007. 2022 saw me elevated to a Fellow of the Institute. After ten years with a previous agency (many of them award winning), I joined the Barfoot & Thompson Whitford team in 2009.

I have regularly achieved top salesperson status in the office. My background in marketing and advertising ensures that my vendors get the best promotion for their property. Entrust your property to me, Wayne Rawson.
