About Tony Keegan

#10 Individual Salesperson, Central Auckland Region, 6 months ending September 2019

Building client relationships of confidence, enjoyment and trust, comes naturally to me. Add to that the depth of my 30+ years of experience across virtually every type of property and you have a recipe for real estate success!

After just two years in the business I was ranked #1 in residential sales and #4 overall in the company. Over the years I’ve been in the Top 12 and in earlier times I achieved year end #1 office status!

Of note, I led a marketing campaign to Asia to promote 40 freestanding luxury homes. In addition to residential, I have also sold blocks of flats, shops, land, off-plans, leakies, leasehold, industrial, commercial, lifestyle blocks, Paritai Drive, childcare facilities and more. I work across virtually all property categories and localities. My expert advice and services are enhanced by my personal experience as a developer, house builder and designer, landlord, business owner, lawyer, communicator, event organiser and a decade teaching at Grammar. Over the years I have established excellent trade and professional contacts which add real value to the service I offer clients.

My professional style is relaxed, fair-minded and always considerate, with a spark of fun. Often not recognised nor understood is the significant marketing advantage you get with Barfoot & Thompson’s unified network. As opposed to a franchised model, which has a number of individually-owned, stand-alone businesses carrying the same name, Barfoot & Thompson is one firm with 75+ branches across the Auckland and Northland regions. Our listings are shared across the company, creating greater exposure and a scale of competition among buyers that’s hard to beat.

I’m a lifetime Remuera and Epsom local. I love the sense of community, the amenities, the cafés and the walks here - and let’s not forget the robust property values!

My interests include Rotary, Probus, Toastmasters and philosophy, French jive (past international contestant), the French language and of course travel.

Qualifications are LL.B., B.A., AREINZ, Dip Education, DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster) and Licensed Real Estate Agent.

If you have been out of the real estate market for a while it pays to get candid up-to-date advice. I am happy to advise and provide options. Whatever your situation, why not give me a call. Registered valuers seek my advice. Well worth a relaxed chat.

What my clients say

It is my pleasure to recommend Tony Keegan as an excellent and hardworking agent. Tony's diligence meant he was able to secure a good price and he kept me sane with his good humour during the whole process.

Don't let Tony anywhere near your property, unless you want to sell it. Then he will do a great job. He is a master of every real estate challenge that I can think of, especially the tricky stuff which most agents shy away from. He has done a lot of selling-off-plans for my building company. He's great in deals with wet buildings, leasehold and anything where a high level of technical and legal understanding is required.

Over the years Tony has become a trusted business friend. He really knows his stuff and I've lost count of how many real estate deals he's done for Marion and I in the 20 odd years we've known him. For 40 something years I've been a builder, property trader and investor so I've meet all sorts of real estate people in that time. Tony does come across as very friendly and easy to get along with. But at the same time he is probably the best negotiator I know.

John and Marion Towers

Tony's care and attention, reliability, trustworthiness and ability to keep us well informed throughout the process was greatly appreciated. We were thrilled with the result and I would have no hesitation in recommending Tony to anyone looking for a positive and exceptional real estate experience.

Inspired genius again! Thank you Tony.
