Celebrating The Year Of  The Ox

It’s the year of the Ox and we’re celebrating our people and our communities. One of the values we celebrate is that of diversity and by once again being a major sponsor of the annual Chinese New Year Festival & Market Day we were able to acknowledge all that the Chinese culture brings to the Kiwi way of life.

Managing Director, Peter Thompson said, “As a family company, we also share common values with traditional Chinese culture: the close-knit ties of family, where the respect for and care of the last generation is the mirror of love and responsibility for the upbringing and training of the next generation. These are profound values and are worth preserving.”

“Our company reflects this diversity with over 50 languages spoken across 75 branches. Our people, who we consider family, come from all walks of life and from all over the world which is something that we celebrate.”

“Reflecting on 2020, it was a year of challenges and uncertainties, but through these adversities, we emerged stronger and more resilient as a country and a company. The year of the Ox is already shaping up to be a new adventure, one that we invite you to be part of. In keeping with the traditions of the Chinese new year, we’ve made red envelopes available so you can share the love through the gift of cash with your friends and family. Collect yours from our Support Centre reception at 34 Shortland Street. “
