I wish to place on record the highly professional, energetic and successful service I have received from Mr Alex Baker LL.B in respect of sale of two properties in the Eastern Suburbs of Auckland. I had some brief dealings with Alex while he was in practice as a Lawyer, I recall being impressed with his energy and attention to detail at that stage. As a consequence when some ten or so years later, I wished to sell a property in Speight Road, Kohimarama, I engaged Alex as my agent. He had by then switched occupations to a Real Estate Agent - I do not recall the firm he was with at that time, but it was not Barfoot and Thompson.
Another decade or two later I wished to sell another property in Melanesia Road, Kohimarama. By then my impression was that Alex had further honed his skills and with years of experience behind him, was at the top of his game. We first met Alex 15 years ago when he was the agent for the vendors of a house we bought and still live in. We remembered him when it recently became necessary for our elderly parents to sell their Remuera home of 20 years and buy a smaller retirement apartment. It was a difficult time for them and they worried that they would not achieve a good enough price to be able to live in comfort.
But Alex was very reassuring. His calm and patient manner made the process very smooth for our parents and gave them great peace of mind.
