I’m passionate about property investment and I believe that by using the right financial and investment strategies, it’s possible for you to achieve your home ownership dreams. My formal qualifications enable me to help you with that goal. Working for Barfoot & Thompson, a company with the number one share in Auckland and a good network and systems, gives each salesperson the opportunity to achieve success for their vendors, whether buying or selling.
I completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics and also a Certificate in Liaison Interpreting. This certificate enables me to effortlessly convert spoken statements from one language to another.
Following my studies at university, I worked as a business development manager in finance, a mortgage adviser and I served as a senior customs officer for eight years. Being ranked in the top 10 mortgage advisers in 2017 was a particularly proud moment.
The attraction of central Auckland suburbs for me is the convenient location, vibrant communities and all the amenities you could want from schools, shopping and entertainment. I’ve lived in various suburbs and am currently living in Mt Eden, so I know the wider area. I’ve been a property investor myself and I understand first-hand the concerns and anxieties that local and migrant home buyers may be facing.
When I’m not working I play badminton twice a week in different clubs, I love to travel and walking my toy dog is always fun. I’m also a youth leader for 8 to 11 year-olds at Sea Scouts.
I think you could say I’m a friendly, easy-going, action-oriented kind of guy who’s able to think outside the box. My personal philosophy is “if a tick doesn’t fit the box, I will try to change the box”.
I’m fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese and I’m looking forward to hearing your story. Call me at the Barfoot & Thompson Epsom branch.
We are writing to thank Leo Chen for his help with the property settlement last Friday, 9 April 2021. For some unknown reason, the Vendor refused to comply with the obligation under the agreement and the conveyancing practice on settlement date, e.g. removing the rubbish and releasing the key etc.
Our client, the purchaser was considering taking further action under the agreement as we had no other options. This would make the transaction complicated and it would also be a waste of time to our client. Many thanks to Leo who facilitated this, and communicated effectively with the Vendor. Eventually the issues were resolved and our client obtained a clean house and all the keys.
We are absolutely impressed by Leo’s professional manner. As a real estate salesperson, Leo is responsible, efficient and tries to achieve the best outcome for both parties making the transaction as smooth as possible with his effort.
It was a great pleasure to work with Leo Chen. We look forward to working with him again in the near future😊
Kind regardsDaisy Zhang
